Ugijar and the obsession with the wrong kind of progress

It seems that the European Union has decided to investigate the plans to build a “macro-urbanización”, with golf course included, near Ugijar, an area with water shortage. See more in the Spanish newspaper “Publico.es”

Ugijar’s County hall , already famous for their policy pro-invernaderos, seems obsessed with bringing quick money into the area whatever the cost. They do not seem to be willing to learn from the recent collapse of the “ladrillo economy”.
